The Final Steps of Manifestation: Action, Trust, and Receiving

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve shared the first three steps of manifestation: intention, belief, and energy. Together, they set the stage. Intention gives you direction, belief clears the inner obstacles, and energy magnetizes what you’re calling in.

But manifestation doesn’t stop there. To bring the process full circle, there are three more steps: action, trust, and receiving.

And honestly, these are the steps where most of us struggle the most.

Step Four: Action

Manifestation isn’t just about vision boards and journaling. At some point, you have to meet the Universe halfway. That’s where action comes in.

At the retreat, we talked about this in really practical terms. One woman shared her vision of starting a new business. She’d done the inner work—set her intention, shifted her beliefs, connected to the energy of confidence and freedom. But she hadn’t yet taken the tangible steps.

So we asked: What’s one small, aligned action you could take today?

It didn’t have to be launching the whole business or quitting her job. It could be as simple as creating a list of services, or reaching out to someone she trusts for advice. Those small steps send a powerful message: I’m ready.

Action doesn’t have to be big or perfect. It just has to move you closer.

Step Five: Trust

If I’m honest, this is the hardest one for me.

I like control. I like to know how things are going to unfold. But manifestation asks us to loosen our grip and trust the timing of life.

Maybe you’ve had this experience: you wanted something so badly—a job, a relationship, an opportunity—and it didn’t work out. It’s so easy to spiral into disappointment. But often, when we look back later, we realize: that wasn’t the right thing for me after all. Something better was on its way.

At the retreat, we laughed about how hard it is to trust in the moment. One woman said, “I want to let go, but I also want the Universe to give me a Google calendar invite with the timeline.” We all nodded, because who doesn’t want that?

But manifestation doesn’t work on our timeline. Trust means holding the vision without grasping at the outcome. It means staying open enough to let something even better surprise you.

Step Six: Receiving

This step often gets overlooked, but it’s so important: you have to actually receive what shows up.

Sometimes we’re so focused on what’s missing that we overlook what’s already here. We ask for abundance, and then dismiss the little ways it arrives—a free cup of coffee, a kind word, a resource that helps us take the next step.

But all of those things count. They’re signs you’re in alignment, and when you acknowledge them, you invite more in.

At the retreat, we talked about gratitude as a receiving practice. Not the forced, “I should be grateful” kind, but the real noticing of what’s already showing up. One woman started writing three thank-you notes a week—sometimes to friends, sometimes to colleagues, sometimes to strangers who’d made her day. And she said the simple act of expressing gratitude shifted her energy completely.

Receiving isn’t passive. It’s active awareness. It’s saying yes to what’s arriving, even if it doesn’t look exactly the way you imagined.

Your Practice This Week

As we move into this new season, here are three ways to bring action, trust, and receiving into your daily life:

  1. Take one aligned step. Pick something small you can do this week that moves you closer to your vision. One email, one phone call, one conversation.

  2. Practice letting go. Notice where you’re gripping too tightly. Ask yourself: What would it feel like to trust the timing here?

  3. Open to receive. Each day, name one way abundance has already shown up for you—big or small.

Bringing It All Together

These three steps bring the manifestation process full circle.

Set the intention.
Believe it’s possible.
Feel it in your energy.
Take aligned action.
Trust the process.
Receive with gratitude.

This is the rhythm of manifestation. And it’s a rhythm you can carry with you—not just during a retreat, but in the middle of your everyday life.

So as the season shifts, ask yourself: What small step am I ready to take? Where can I soften my grip and trust? And how can I open myself to receive what’s already arriving?

That’s where the magic begins.
